HOW I FEEL
I'm feeling Great, no new symptoms.
I'm also showing much more now and feeling a lot of baby movement ♥
YAYYYYY!!! After a couple tries we recently found out the sex of the baby. The baby wouldn't turn over so we couldn't see past the tummy. The last place we tried was a 4D Gender Check in Arlington Heights and the experience was wonderful and worth the $$.
Yolanda was the lady doing the ultra sound for us and compared to the hospital ultra sound and her ultrasound the experience was completely different. She was so warm and caring. I would recommend going to a place like that (keep in mind they are not a medical field and cant diagnose anything, they cant even tell you how far along you are just the gender check).
I do plan on going again when I'm a bit bigger :)
HOW I FEEL:
Lying on my back now seems to hurt my lower back. When I am lying on my back I noticed my lower back arches and never touches the bed creating too much pressure.
Something strange I've noticed is My belly button Is starting to come out and it looks purplish like its bruised. It doesn't hurt it just looks weird lol...
SHOPPING FOR MATERNITY CLOTHES AND MUST HAVE’S....
If your anything like me you've started shopping for maternity clothes and its not necessarily cause I’m huge because, in fact I have a small bump but I just find most pants with buttons feeling uncomfortable because of the placement.
I also constantly feel tightness on my bladder from my pants and it gives me the sensation to have to pee even though I don’t have to go.
STAYING FIT WHILE PREGNANT:
I'm a very fit person. I've been working out for years and I get this same question every time I post a photo of me working out. "Are you supposed to be doing that while pregnant"? or "you should be resting and eating".
Now it doesn't upset me to be ask these questions or be told I need to eat more but it more frightens me because that means most women are just sitting ducks during their pregnancy, afraid to move and hurt their baby.
It's not always that bad. Don't take everyone's story to heart, have your own experience. My personal experience, I was nauseous on and off for 2 weeks and felt like doing nothing. I only threw up 2 times. After those 2 weeks everything went back to normal fast and my energy and motivation returned.
I heard horror stores of it lasting the entire 1st trimester and possible the 2nd. It technically didn't even last a quarter of my first trimester. Your body of course needs to adjust to the change so yea its may feel cruddy for a couple weeks.
Another thing you'll notice is you probably won't start showing, if you do it will be in the last week of the first trimester. Don't push it just let it happen.
This Baby Bump Tuesday is about preventing stretch marks and the actions you need to take everyday to make sure your skin is healthy.
1. Stay hydrated.
Water helps detoxify your body and keeps your skin cells plump, which makes your skin healthier and more likely to bounce back from the stress caused by stretching. Get plenty of water by practicing these habits:
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day. If you find it difficult to ingest this much water, carry a large water bottle that holds the equivalent of 2 glasses (16 ounces) of water. Refill it 4 times throughout the day, rather than having to refill a single glass 8 times. It will make drinking enough water less of a hassle.
- Drink herbal tea. Choosing teas without caffeine helps your body stay hydrated, and can alleviate the boredom of drinking only water every day.
- Eat watery fruits and vegetables. Eating vegetables that contain a lot of water is another great way to hydrate yourself. Eat big salads filled with cucumbers, fresh bell peppers, and celery. Choose watermelon, strawberries, honeydew, and other watery fruits instead of eating baked desserts.
Welcome to my Pregnancy Diary, A place where soon to be moms and expecting moms can come together and ask questions while also sharing their own experiences.
I think pregnancy is a beautiful thing we women have the privilege to experience and as It is my first I'd love to keep track of my body and feelings as well as be able to answer other girls questions and have them also share their knowledge with me.
I hope you enjoy, Don't forget to subscribe!
